I have enjoyed countless of rounds of vingt-et-un. I began working my way into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of money at blackjack. The gambling dens have made it very hard to beat the house.

I still like the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get loaded with this method or defeat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you're NOT!

I gamble with basic strategy twenty-one. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the bet back down to the original bet.

I am very strict and never back out. It gets extremely fun on occasion. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a couple of years back with $750 after 20 minutes using this tactic! And a couple of days ago in Las Vegas I left a table with $1200!

You must understand that you can squander much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the streaks you see betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar game.

Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Take $10 paid to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager

Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $20 bet

Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar

Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the initial $40 wager

Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $80

Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first $80 wager

Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $160

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the first 160 dollar wager

If you departed at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and lower your bet or the final result won't be the same.
